What are the core essentials of Tai Chi Chuan?

Practicing boxing is hard to find the feeling of practicing boxing in the enlightenment.
The inner feeling of Taijiquan is the embodiment of the “upper body” that the practitioners will realize, and the sublimation of “sense” to “study”.
There is no local movement of the body in Tai Chi, not only a gesture of raising a hand, but even a breath, a look, or even an idea, is not part of the overall movement of Tai Chi.
銆€銆€The inner feeling of punching reflects the level of Tai Chi Chuan, which is the key to whether we can step into the Tai Chi Chuan Hall and get the best fitness effect.
With an inner feeling, we can live a long and healthy life in the enjoyment of Tai Chi Chuan; lack of inner feelings, practicing boxing is like doing exercises, and it is hard to please.
So, what is the “inner feeling” of Tai Chi?
Because the feeling is a product of personalization, it is difficult to express it in many different ways, but this is not to say that the inner feeling of Taijiquan is irregular. The author has selected the following nine feelings and learns from the boxing friends.
銆€銆€First, the feeling of “bone-lifting meat drop” “bone-lifting meat drop” refers to the feeling that the practitioner’s skeleton is straight and upright while the body is loose and falling.
People belong to the earth’s living things, and the flesh will naturally sink by the gravity of the earth. The reason why people can stand and rely on the support of the bones upwards is to say that “bone and meat drop” is the inevitable result of mankind’s movement to overcome the gravity of the earth.
However, whether you can have the feeling of 鈥渂one and meat drop鈥?in practicing boxing is another matter. Only when your body and mind really relax can you feel this feeling.
“Bone-lifting meat drop” also reveals the relationship between bone and meat when punching: separation of flesh and blood.
“Bone and meat separation” is the feeling of bone ascending, fleshy drop, and loose joints when punching. Like a boneless chicken, as long as the chicken skeleton is lifted and shaken, the chicken will fall off the bone.
This feeling means that your muscles are not tightly wrapped around the bones and are already in a relaxed state.
The sinking of the flesh marks “looseness”, and the uprightness of the skeleton marks the “just”—–the feeling of finding the “bone-lifting meat drop”, which was found for the opening of the gate of Taijiquan “rigid and soft”.Golden key.
—–In the line, we have to do “three pines and three verticals”: loose shoulders and vertical neck, loose vertical ridges, loose vertical legs, so that the feeling of “bone and meat drop” remains throughout the routine.
銆€銆€Second, the “self weight” feeling “self weight” feeling is that when we punch, we feel that the limbs are like weight.
Because of the movement of the earth under the gravity of the earth, and the loss of the weight of one’s own limbs, we only have a sense of weight when we load in vitro (such as a bucket of water).
If you feel the weight of your limbs when you punch, it means that your body is really relaxed. The better the state of relaxation, the greater the degree of looseness of the shoulders and ankles, and the greater the heaviness of the limbs.
This sense of heaviness is the result of the removal of stiffness and the effect of gravity on the limbs after physical and mental relaxation. Therefore, the boxing theory has the saying that 鈥渇rom sinking into sinking鈥? it can be seen that 鈥渟inking鈥?is the verification of 鈥渟ong鈥? and 鈥渢he center of the earth is the third.鈥?The dominance” and “the palm of the hand is the third guest assistant”, emphasizing that in accordance with the gravity of the earth to “master” the line, that is, using their own gravity and the reaction of the ground to promote the boxing.
This sentence highlights the relationship between the earth’s heart and the sole of the foot, sinking from the foot, lifting from the foot, “sinking” is to conform to the gravity of the earth, and “lifting” is to use the reaction force of the ground.
銆€銆€Shen and the courage to change with the accumulation of fists: when the tide is sinking, the foot is planted in the roots, which is good for hitting the opponent, using the earth’s attraction; when the momentum is raised, the body is light and flexible, and it is easy to change the movement. It uses the reaction of the earth.
In this way, relying on the physical and false changes of the body to adapt to the gravitational and resilience of the earth through the soles of the feet, the potential energy of the earth is transformed into the power of the boxing.
—– So you can make good use of your own gravity and rebound power to make a fist, find the body’s sense of floating, such as the water in the boat, only to enter the gate of Tai Chi.
銆€銆€Third, the feeling of “spinal boxing” “spinal boxing” refers to the spine as the initiative, with the hands and feet as the driven way of punching.
In the early days of learning boxing, it was the use of hands and feet to punch, which made it a local force and a stale force.
Then I learned to use the belt ridge to play the pivotal role of the waist. With the deepening of the kung fu, the “waist” will gradually grow up: first, it will be integrated with the shackles, and the lumbosacral will be used to drive the hands and feet, and then the spine will stretch up and down to form a connection. The central axis of the body and the perineal point (also known as the “middle line”).
The arms and legs seem to be hung on the central axis of the body. When the fists are punched, the limbs move under the central axis, starting from the central axis and finally the central axis.
—– Do not move the waist as a stiff hand, step by step without a waist.
The upper limbs should feel the feeling of 鈥渂ringing their arms鈥? and the lower limbs should feel the feeling of 鈥渟tepping with the body鈥?
銆€銆€We often say: “Four pines, loose body”, the key to relaxation of the whole body lies in the relaxation of the shoulders.—-In the Tai Chi, the spine has three kinds of movements: up and down stretching, left and right rotation and front and rear relaxation.
The “up and down stretching” of the spine allows the S curve of the human spine to be properly straightened, which can correct the head and neck and the hips.
The “left and right rotation” of the spine is the power source for the arc movement of Tai Chi, and it is the main way to drive the movement of the limbs.
The “anterior and posterior relaxation” of the spine means that the spine is like the back of the spine, and it contains the relaxation with the opening and closing of the boxing force: when the chest is accumulating, the spine is called the “swallowing body” with the inhalation, and the spine is called. With a slight exhalation, it is called “spit”.
When the boxing is performed, the spine changes with the opening and closing of the boxing force and the breathing of the boxing force exhibits a rhythmic relaxation. This is the power source for the opening and closing of the Taijiquan.
